TEDMED curates a unique and provocative program featuring brilliant short talks and stunning artistic performances that reframe the way we think and inspire critical new possibilities for the future of health and medicine. TEDMED will take place in San Francisco and Washington DC and will not have a public streaming.

As Since at Globant we believe in innovation we will broadcast two sessions live: "Play is not a Waste of Time" and "Stealing Smart" We will also have the pleasure to have our biotechnologists Virginia Gonzalez & Sebastián Bassi talking about this exciting science.
What do kids have going for them that adults could co-opt for innovative progress in health and medicine? The "beginner's mind," for one, meaning a lack of preconceptions; an ability to stay in the moment; an attention to meaningful life details and the ability to daydream fruitfully. Kids enrich these powers through play. It's a good thing that playing is not limited to childhood. In fact, speakers in this session of TEDMED 2014 will reveal the extraordinary power of play for all ages – to fire up creativity, learn through hypothetical experience, and even strengthen brain connections.
Introducción a la medicina genómica personalizada:
Personal genomics is not the future, but the present in top clinics like Mayo and Cleveland. Virginia will show what you need to understand what is this about.

Un caso clínico resuelto con medicina genómica personalizada:
See how a routine check up made in order to get a clearence to play soccer ends up with genomic testing that could save a life.
A session during which speakers will share inspiring stories and ideas about how we can adapt solutions from other industries, and from other fields both inside and outside of medicine, to solve the most intractable problems in health and medicine. This session is dedicated to the idea that sometimes we need to look outside the realm of health to solve the complex issues within.
