Speaker Dean Thompson Dean Thompson is the Principal Architect at LinkedIn, and a member of the Presentation Infrastructure team. They are responsible for the software frameworks and infrastructure for www.linkedin.com and other browser-based LinkedIn applications. After a few years as research staff at Carnegie Mellon in the late 80s, he spent his career founding and leading Pittsburgh-based startups: mSpoke (acquired by LinkedIn), Transarc (acquired by IBM); e-Transport (acquired by Descartes); Premier Health Exchange (acquired by Medibuy); and Medebiz (merged with Moai Technologies).
