QA & Dev Team
Tribune Co |
The main goal was to create a new user interface for LA and Chicago interactive newspapers with a totally redesigned look & feel, that allows editors to control the information displayed in a more fashionable way for end users. The Challenge was to improve usability, providing that the UI works in the latest versions of the major desktop and mobile browsers. To use as little Javascript as possible, resolving every available feature with HTML5/CSS3 if possible. The architecture was provided by the client with Infuse, a Javascript plugin that extends jQuery functionality and provides a set of functionality to build the UI. This plugin was built by Tribune. The backend is a CMS named P2P, a stable tool built by Tribune which they have been using for the last 7 years. It is based on Ruby on Rails. |
